Karen Pennar, Director of Research

Karen Pennar joined Hudson Health Plan in 2004 as Senior Policy Analyst and became Director of Research in 2005.

Ms. Pennar was for many years a journalist, most recently Senior Writer at Business Week Magazine in New York. In mid-career, she decided to return to school and obtained a Masters in Public Health from Yale University School of Medicine in 2004, with a concentration in the epidemiology of microbial diseases.

Ms. Pennar has a BA in economics from Barnard College. She is Secretary of the Health Professional, Provider and Health Plan (HP3) Council of the National Quality Forum.
